A PRIVATELY ASKED QUESTION: When trying to figure out how many I will need, I am confused with your numbers. You say to plan on placing the medallions 14" apart for the 14" wide swag, but it isn't 14" wide. Even sliding the fabric inward for a decent droop, it isn't 14". Could you please elaborate a bit on how you are coming up with this?
ANSWER: Yes, if you want a 14" wide swag, you should use the pattern that states 14" wide. Make it by the instructions. You do not add or change anything. When you install it you place the medallions or rings 14" apart. The droop amount has been predetermined by the size across the top of the swag pattern. The droop will develop because the swag is wider than 14" across the top. The droop area changes according to how wide you spread the swag (so will the bottom depth). That is why the sizes are stated on the pattern.
