I have made The Willshire Swags several times. I would like to make two swags at 28". The smallest the swag pattern goes is 32". Is there a problem if I make the pattern 4" smaller in swag size? I need to cover a 56" window and I am not sure I want to make 1 swag because I don't want the seams to show when piecing it. Thanks.

If you try to make the pattern 4" smaller, the deepest depth and the droop area will not be true to the original depths. Literally, the top and the bottom would have to be altered different amounts. All I can say is to do a mock up adjusting the middle seam until you get the look you want. We also feel that sizes smaller than 32" wide may be too small for the ornate shape to fit in. You can determine if you like the look by doing the mock up. Good luck, let us know how you make out!
