Hi I'm currently debating the depth I would like to make these swags. My windows are 42" wide and there are four in a bay format. Is there a formula on determining the best depth. Thank you.

You need to determine the depth according to how high off the floor you will be installing them. Also tell us the window depth and ceiling height.

From Crown Molding on Ceiling to top of window is about 22" Window length is 70" I have 10 foot ceilings I was going to install the medallions about midway between the ceiling and the top of window or 11" from top of window. But whatever you suggest. Thank you.

Usually you divide by 1/5 or 1/6 of your overall depth to get the swag depth. Measure the installation height to the floor, then divide. You probably can use a depth of 20" to 24". Keep in mind, you may have a lot of wall showing at the short points (under the medallions where the swags meet). For that reason they are often installed near the top of the windows.

Good point! Thank you for your help. Love your patterns and I've used many throughout the years.
