I have a job making Bistro Valance Swags that will be hung on medallions 13" apart per my installer who measured for the job. I just made a mockup and I don't think the clients will be happy with such a large scoop area. Is there any way to make a more shallow scoop area for this size swag?
Thanks!

I assume you used the Valance Swag pattern and not the Drapery Swag pattern. The Valance has a shorter droop area. You can make the droop area shorter by making the pattern more narrow across the top. Doing that will throw off the grain line. You can also make the 12" wide swag and install it at 13" wide. Try that first.

Yes, I definitely used the valance pattern. I will try using the 12" width ( I didn't think that would make a difference since the lines for the various widths all meet at the top corner?)
I let you know how it goes. Thanks.

After taking a look at the pattern, I see what you mean. It won't help. The only way you can make the droop smaller is to make the top of the pattern more narrow. This means you may also have to trim some off the side and straighten the top. Do a mock up.

Thanks, I will let you know how it goes. I'm guessing I won't need to come in much on each side.

Don't trim any off until you hang it up. Trim away what is visually needed.
