Shawl Pattern Hanging Question

I am thinking of purchasing the Shawl Valance pattern, but have a question before I do.  I have a beautiful rod that I would like to use and wondered if the Shawl Valance could be mounted with rings on a rod? I like the Pashmina Valance as well and see that one of the views shows it hanging from a rod, but I would really like to go with the Shawl Valance if it would work.
