Have a designer working with a client who likes the Window #193 in the designer's manual. She would like to use sheer fabric! My concerns are seeing all the hems and distortions/breaks in the views from wall to window frame and glass. Any suggestions?

Hems would be a factor that may give an undesirable look. The fullness of the sheer would present itself well. However, notice that the treatment does not cover very much of the woodwork and top of the window. Most of the window and surrounding area will show, no matter what fabric is used. Consider self lining the sheer, with neat inside seams. Or use a simple trim that can cover the raw edges.

When working with sheers I prefer self lining and use my serger rolled hem to join the seams, this seam gracefully disappears when finished. Serger rolled hems also work well for the edges of unlined sheers.
